Diving the Museum Of Underwater Art up close
Whether you’re an experienced diver or you've just completed your course, our days trips are the perfect opportunity to explore the magic of the Museum of Underwater Art.
Diving the Museum of Underwater Art
Diving the Museum of Underwater Art is unlike anything else on the Great Barrier Reef, a fusion of art, science, and marine conservation designed specifically for divers.
These purpose-built underwater installations sit at depths ideal for certified divers, offering extended bottom time to fully explore the sculptures up close. Each piece has been carefully positioned to evolve over time, attracting marine life and transforming into living reef structures.
The centrepiece, Ocean Siren, responds to real-time ocean temperature data, creating a powerful visual connection between climate change and reef health. At deeper sites like the Coral Greenhouse at John Brewer Reef, divers can weave through a mesmerising underwater gallery where art and marine ecosystems intertwine.
Expect to see reef fish, nudibranchs, and coral growth beginning to colonise the installations, alongside curious pelagic species passing through. This is slow, immersive diving—perfect for those who want more than just a reef dive, but a story to be part of.
