A true diver’s paradise, Myrmidon Reef lies more than 100km offshore and offers some of the most exhilarating and untouched diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Towering coral bommies, dramatic drop-offs, and deep ocean walls create the perfect conditions for spotting large pelagics and a dazzling variety of marine life. It’s not uncommon to see grey reef sharks patrolling the edges, or schools of barracuda gliding through the currents. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, sailfish and dogtooth tuna make an appearance too—glimpses of the raw power and beauty of the open ocean that make Myrmidon so unforgettable. This is the kind of diving that stays with you forever.
